Rod seal (bonnet type)

- The bonnet structure enhances sealing performance.
- The gland section requires only initial tightening — no frequent adjustments are needed.
- With just two gland bolts, re-tightening (if ever required) is quick and simple.
- Because only minimal gland compression is necessary, operating torque remains low.
- Maintenance costs are reduced thanks to the compact packing design.
Disc seal (open type)
Standard Type
- The open structure seals the gate itself, which tends to cause leakage from the corners and results in poor sealing performance.
- Leakage is also likely to occur from the gland section, requiring periodic re-tightening.
- With four gland bolts, it is difficult to achieve uniform tightening.
- Since the gland must be tightened firmly to prevent leakage, operating torque is heavy.
- Because the gate itself is sealed, maintenance costs are higher due to the larger packing size.
